Since I've been back

It is good to be back in Seattle, continuing my life here, finding a job and a place to live.
I do, however, miss Yakam and the people I was with very much. I know that I havn't posted much about what was going on in Yakma probably because it was emotionaly difficult..and too difficult to express the love I have for the friends in the community I was able to spend my time with.
I would love to be able to tell their stories and share about what Sacred Road is doing in White Swan but I think that I will be doing this in person. Thanks for all your care for me this summer.

Summited

I had a safe and wonderful Hike to the Summit. Dave ended up getting pretty sick at base camp, so the next morning Kyle and I headed to the top and made it hours later. Glissading down was a small disaster and potentially very dangerous, however I skidded to a halt through the rocks with relatively little damage. Our Lord was verily with me.
I felt like I may have been in heaven.

Pahto

I wish I was updating more about what is going on in Yakama, because it is truley a testimony of God at work...and honestly I cannot wait to share it. But for now a little update Tomorrow afternoon 3 of us. Me, Kyle and Dave are heading to trek up the south western route in hopes to summit the gloriousAdams. The great Pahto. Sleeping one night at Lunch Counter, and hiking the rest on the Lord's day. I am beside myself.

Photos from the Prep Hike, since which we have lost four hiking partners.
